Job Description

Home based consultant position for a motivated engineer based around Atlassian products and related technologies. Must be able to travel approximately 25% - installing and configuring software, training customers, and communicating best practices. Also participating in sales calls and assisting in the statement of work preparation.

Responsibilities

• Consult with global customers & clients
• Install and configure Atlassian products
• Develop and/or deploy Atlassian plugins or Google Gadgets written in Java, Ruby On Rails, Python, etc.
• Develop web-based tools based on Go2Group?s core expertise expanding our product line
• Provide general support to internal onsite and remote end-users
• Coordinate with engineering, technical support, sales, and field services to understand IT requirements

Required Experience

• BS in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Three or more years experience as a hands on engineer
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows in a development environment, able to install applications and use basic tools such as ftp and scp
• Basic SQL skills
• Ability to work well with clients, developers, QA engineers and non-engineering personnel
• Excellent communication skills, consulting skills, attitude, deliver training to end users, and ability to work in a team, is a must!

• Java programming experience
• Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Crowd, Clover, Crucible, FishEye, Bamboo
• Atlassian Plugins
• Java Servers (primarliy Tomcat)
• Ruby on Rails
• Python
• XML, XSL, JSP, Velocity, Java i18n, key generation technology, code obfuscation, Spring, Hibernate
• Perl, shell, bat scripting
• Apache Server configuration
• Google Gadgets development experience
• VMware Server or Zen
• Install4J
• SCM such as Perforce, Subversion, ClearCase, CVS, StarTeam, etc.
• Experience installing or working with Atalssian Products, Quality Center, Silk, RequisitePro, Caliber, QTP, DOORs, ClearQuest, Bugzilla, JIRA, TeamTrack, SBM, other products in the SDLC Realm.
• ANT, NANT, Maven2, CruiseControl or BAMBOO
• Single sign-on and directories: LDAP or AD.
• Email server setup and configuration
• Cisco, SonicWall network appliances
